HOSTAL POCHON OAXACA

We help backpackers stay on a budget with our low rates and FREE breakfast, drinking water, towels and internet. We also offer bicycle rentals, tours and Mexican cooking classes for a fee. We are located close to the Zocalo, (which is the main plaza), cafes, markets, churches, parks and museums. Hostal Pochon is in the historic center of the city on a quiet street, away from annoying loud traffic noises. You can relax in our flower and tree filled outdoor patio while visiting with our other guests from around the world!

HOSTAL POCHON is a short five minute walk to the Santo Domingo Church and the scenic pedestrian walkway.

  • Sleeping Facilities

    PRIVATE ROOMS:

    1.  JUNIOR SUITE- One bedroom with a king size bed, and a private bathroom.  Private balcony overlooking the city to the Cathedral. Television and Wi-Fi  is also in the room.  The Junior Suite is like a hotel room at hostel prices!

    2.  DOUBLE BED WITH BALCONY- Private computer with internet, cable television, one double bed, Wi-Fi, shared bathroom, small balcony.

    3.  DOUBLE BED- Wi-Fi, shared bathroom and one double bed.

    4.  TWIN ROOM- Two twin beds that can be turned into one King Size bed if desired.  Private computer with internet, shared bathroom, and Wi-Fi.

  • DORM ROOMS:
    All have WI-Fi and personal lockers. We have all female dorms, all male dorms and a mixed dorm. We are flexible in trying to meet the needs of our guests, and we will try to accommodate the special needs or requests that we receive.

    The hostel offers free use of a fully equipped kitchen so you can buy your own food at the nearest market, just a one minute walk away, cook for yourself and then have dinner with other backpackers. We also have a BBQ area for our guest's use.

  • OUR FULL FREE BREAKFAST INCLUDES:

    Mexican Style Eggs, Omelets with Ham, Cheese or Mushrooms, French Crepes, Fresh Fruits, Home Made Bread with Butter, Jam and Honey, Mexican Beans, Coffee and Tea.  The menu varies daily.

    • HOSTAL POCHON OAXACA can help you with booking your tours, classes and activities. You will receive a discount on tours that we book for you. At Hostal Pochon we also offer very popular Mexican Cooking Classes and Bike Rentals.

      We have information to give to you if you would like to go hiking in Sierra Norte (Benito Juarez, Cuajmoloyas, Llano Grande…).

      We can book any tour for you that you are interested in taking. We have tour information available for you at the front desk. We are happy to give you information and assist you with the wide selection of tours that are available. If you would like to tour Monte Alban, Teotilan del Valle, Mitla, take an ecotourism tour, or a handicraft tour, we can take care of everything for you. All you have to do is enjoy your tour!
